| Painting oil on canvas, 17th c. italian school, not signed, lined , 14x22,5in was delivered to our studio in very bad condition. Multiple tears and punctures, 50% delamination of the lining canvas, paint layer stable but overcleaned with many previous restorations and overpaintings. Painting was cleaned, old lining still in acceptable condition was reattach to the original canvas. Paint and gesso missing areas, punctures and tears were filled and retouched. Finally after varnishing painting was mounted in old origial frame. Now in private collection in St.Louis |
