RECONSTRUCTION OF MISSING HANDLE
     FROM ANCIENT GREEK VASE
            "OINOCHOE"  500 B.C.
This graceful vase,
known
by its shape as
"oinochoe"
was used for the
drawing and pouring
of liquids like water
and wine. In fact the
root of the word
"oinochoe", "oinos",
is ancient Greek
word for wine.
Vase was delivered
to our studio with
very bad
reconstruction of the
handle and poor
spout repairs.
Vase after removal
of old handle, with
visible traces of the
shape of the original
handle
